We send care packages to military dog teams overseas   There are 2700 teams in the military and an estimated 700 currently in the middle east.  These amazing dogs are trained for patrol, search, explosive detection and apprehension.  The care packages sent contain items for both the dogs and their handlers.  We receive 5 requests per week and ship approximately 10 packages per week.   So far we have personally shipped over 500 packages and and addt'l 169 have been shipped by Friends of Project Troop Dogs.  We will continue to ship as long as there are requests.
Our #1 need is sponsors to cover the shipping costs of the packages.   Monetary donations are used to cover shipping costs and to provide additional items to fill the boxes.  If you review the list, these teams are only asking for basic necessities...a small request considering they are willing to die for our freedom.  If you desire, your contact information would be included with every box you sponsor and you would receive direct responses from the recipient teams whose lives you touch.   Feel free to browse the thank you section of our site...our donors are changing lives one team at a time.   We would be so appreciative of your support - which would allow us to let these brave furry soldiers and their handlers - know how much we truly do care.   Thank you for your time.

Interact/key Clubs is a student organization that encourages community service.  We do many projects throughout the year.  Recently we have participated in the following:  Cinnaminson Community Day, Cooper River Breast Cancer Walk, Christmas Caroling at Riverview Estates, Making Christmas Stockings for the homeless, Making Dinner for children at Ronald McDonald House, Raising money for World Vision Through our St Patty Cookie Grams, participating in the Children's with Disabilites Spring Party at the Special Services School in Westampton, NJ.
The monies generated from the dress down day would help with our sponsorship of students attending the RYLA Camp in June 2012.  RYLA is the Rotary Youth Leadership Award.   This program is an intense fun filled 4 day leadership training program run by Rotarians and older youth who have demonstated superior leadership and training skills with in RYLA and in their communities.  The students will be taught various leadership skills, such as team building, problem solving and cooperation and communication skills. The program is designed to train ethically, visionary leaders.

The American Red Cross of Burlington County responds to local disasters to provide shelter, food and clothing to victims of house fires, floods, etc., within Burlington County.  We also facilitate communication of emergency messages and support for our troops at the Joint Base.  In addition we provide a variety of Preparedness, Health & Safety training courses,  such as CPR/First Aid andf Babysitter Training, as well as facilitate the collection of thousands of pints of life-saving blood in our county each year.
Funds would be used to assist local victims of house/apartment fires, floods and other disasters with temporary shelter, food and clothing, provide a variety of services to our troops at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, and help with the operating costs of our building in order to provide these and additional services to the residents of Burlington County.

I am requesting the Dress Down Day at any time in March, 2011, as March is celebrated as National Red Cross Month each year.

CRAFTS for CANCER was created to honor the memory of Everett B. Dunlap Jr., who lost his 10 yr. battle with brain cancer at the age of 17. Anyone can participate no matter where you live. Just find a local hospital with a pediatric oncology unit, set up boxes to collect items then take them to the hospital (or bring them to us and we will deliver). Everett often would work on various craft projects while in the hospital for treatment. Join the fight, and help put a SMILE on a sick child's face!!!!!!!!!
We will be collecting/providing new craft items such as crayons, markers, coloring books, paper, craft kits, paint, glue, stickers, ets. to be donated to the pediatric oncology departments at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, St. Christopher's Hospital, and the Specialty Care Centers at King of Prussia, PA & Voorhees, NJ.

Be My STAR is a newly formed NPO whose vision is a world without childhood cancer and until that day, children and families  will have all the resources they need to fight this devastating disease.  We have several activities planned for the year which need funds generated to be successful.

We host Everett's Fun Day at the VFW on Fairview St. in Delran in September (which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month).  The purpose of Everett's Fun Day is two-fold.  One of the goals is to heighten awareness of childhood cancer so that parents are aware and can detect early signs and that the public will be more aware so that they will help fund a cure.  The major goal is to provide a day when children with cancer (and their families) can come out and just have a good time.  We provide food, activities, games, moon bounce, entertainment.  It is a very fun day for all.

Another big event we participate in is CHOP's Parkway Run.  We raise funds for the CHOP Cancer Center.
To support the activities of the organization to heighten awareness of childhood cancer, improve the quality of life for children with cancer, provide financial assistance to struggling families, advocate for childhood cancer patients and fund research to find a cure.
