Welcome to Semester 1 for the 2012 school!!!!! Notes for

  • English I,
  • CAD for Engineering, and
  • Design Technology

In general, all students are expected in class on time, in uniform, and with their books, laptops, pencils, and pens.

English I

Welcome into English I. This is a college prep course for Freshmen. Reading, writing, speaking, and participating are important parts of your grade in this class.. Handouts will be available for you through Course Documents > Class Handouts > English . Please come in with your books and laptop everyday. Work can be submitted through

  • print brought in from your computer at home,
  • the student dropbox for English, or
  • e-mailed as an attachment to ONEILLRIVERSIDE2@aol.com

Your project for short stories is due November 2.  The handout with the options is in the Class Handouts for English 1.

We are currently reading The Odyssey by Homer

CAD for Engineering

Hi and welcome to our CAD class site. This class for students who are interested in any area of Engineering. Drawings will be done on the student's laptop using AutoDesk AutoCAD. Handouts with your list of assignments will be available for you through Course Documents> Class HandoutsWork> CAD. Work can be submitted through

  • print brought in from your home printer,
  • the student dropbox for CAD, or
  • e-mailed as an attachment to ONEILLRIVERSIDE2@aol.com

Drawings are now being done in CAD on their laptops or standalones in the classroom. 

Marking period 2 will start with drawings on page 161.

Design Technology

The importance of design in our world cannot be underestimated. Homes, cars, toasters, toys, and more all need to be designed. We will use AutoCAD to draw some of our designs. Students will be working individually, with partners, and groups to produce their products or designs. Handouts with your list of assignments will be available for you through Course Documents> Class Handouts> CAD.

Student work can be submitted

Students are working on a project for children or adults with mobility problems.  Their design is being drawn in AutoCAD
