Health I
This health course is designed to familiarize students with the characteristics needed to improve overall health and wellness. This course will investigate how to make healthy choices, how to set goals and action plan to achieve them and how to communicate effectively. Students will also learn to create their own fitness plans while incorporating the benefits of a routine workout plan.
Units of Study (but not limited to):
- Circulatory System
- Reproductive System
- Nutrition
- Fitness
- Health Skills
Throughout this course, students will learn about health skills that will hopefully lead them to making healthy choices in life.

Health II
This health course is designed to familiarize students with the effects of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs, both legal and illegal, on the human body. Students will learn about the short term and ling term effects that various substance play on the body as well as the consequences of drug abuse and misuse.
Units of Study (but not limited to):
- Medicines (over the counter/prescription)
- Tobacco
- Alcohol
- Drugs (legal/illegal)
Throughout this course, students will be taught how to avoid the pressures of society and how to use refusal skills in order to make healthy choices and avoid making bad decisions.

Driver Education
This course is designed to familiarize students with the laws, procedures, strategies, and liabilities under which New Jersey motorists must operate.
Topics of Study:
- The Driving Task
- Interacting with traffic
- Driving in different environments and conditions
- Your repsonsibilities as a driver
- Buying a car
- Car Insurance
Students will be given an opportunity through thirty hours of classroom instruction to prepare and pass the New Jersey State Driver's written test. The students will also experience the skills necessary for driving within a classroom setting through lecture, cooperative learning, and technology.
Course Goals:
- Complete 30 hours in the classroom
- 80% or better on the State Examination
